Keep it Simple
Keywords are used to capture specific data from your customers or prospects. When you are choosing a keyword, you want to choose simple keywords that are easy to remember and easy to spell. I would recommend not using abbreviated words or spelling them differently as most phones have an auto-correct.
With most text marketing companies, you would only receive one keyword to advertise and usually all the good ones are taken because you are sharing a code with 1000’s of other businesses. Only having one keyword limits your ability to have multiple marketing campaigns and capture the important data from multiple campaigns.
With Strategic Mobile Solutions, you receive your own unique 10 digit SMS/VOICE code. This means you are not sharing with anyone and you get unlimited keyword campaigns.
Here is an example of how Daisy’s Yogurt Shop is using keyword campaigns in their business:
A consumer walks into Daisy’s Yogurt and notices the following sign for a free yogurt.

Who wouldn’t want a free yogurt? So they pull out their phone and text DAISY to 508.315.9800. As you will notice below, the yogurt shop is engaging their customers by asking them if they would like to receive weekly specials. Notice in our software notes, this keyword campaign is for in-store advertising.

How it looks inside our software:

Next Daisy’s Yogurt wants to buy advertising in their local newspaper and list a special on Facebook. With most companies, they would be forced to use the same keyword or pay an additional monthly fee for another keyword. Not with us. Your customers get unlimited keywords and opt-in keyword campaigns. They can even use the same opt-in keywords more than once to make grouping more efficient and easier to manage.
